Because I'm an alcoholic and I wanted help. But AA just isn't going to work for me

Reading threads like this knowing that I'm not alone with this talking to people who care about me is going to be my best options. I have a pretty good support system and some great people in my life. I just need to quit letting them down

Trust Me, If you are new make different meetings, and You HAVE to have an open mind, I was just Like you, If you want to drink go to a meeting call a trusted friend, just DON'T DRINK. If You need to talk you Let me know

Just keep going man. I promise you if put a little effort eventually some of the cliches will start to stick. Only you can get yourself sober but AA is a good tool to use in helping you achieve sobriety.
