They're careful not to get too drawn into the partisan political game most of the time. For Durbin, if he's a real Catholic that got a proper Catholic education, he knows the rules, shouldn't be surprised, and can either go pro life or stop eating Jesus.

Im a non believer and still felt guilty taking communion last time at Church, but far better than breaking my grandma's heart letting her know I wasn't practing anymore.
