They point out Australia and how crime went down once the gun banned was instated. Here's what the real story is: the crime rate had been going down at the same steady rate starting 4 years before that and only 1/3 of gun owners gave their guns back for the buy back program. So 2/3 of the guns are still out there. There's is a difference between correlation and causation.
