We are going in July. Just today, we booked a cabin at Chalet Village. I haven't been since i was a kid.

We stayed here a few years ago:

Neat cabin in Cobbly Knob (about 15 mins out from Gatlinburg up in the mountains).
I am assuming it survived the fires.
