85% of my lawn is still brown but I've got large patches of what I have always known as clover, just like what is shown in the pic:
What should I do to get rid of it? Please be specific with the product/chemical and application method.
Thanks!

Need to know what your turfgrass is

I spray 2-4d every spring, while my grass is still dormant...

If anyone would like to have some in person identification of most of the commonly found weeds in Southern lawns, you are welcome to come look at my yard.
Finally appeared we would escape the rain for a day yesterday so I broadly applied Weed-free Zone and spot treated with Roundup. Now we wait. I was hopeful the application of snow and ice to the lawn twice this winter would help but I'm seeing some new (unwelcome) visitors I've not seen in the past along with some old favorites. It's getting really close to a total rip and replace scenario. I hate having such a crappy lawn.

I sprayed yesterday. Mixed Top Shot herbicide with 2-4-D and sprayed my yard. The top shot will kill clover.

I always thought clover was beneficial for your yard. It doesn't compete with the grass in summer because it dies off in hotter weather. Same with dandelions, wild garlic and other things that grow in cooler weather.
Am I wrong? Would like to know if I've been ignoring these weeds to the detriment of my lawn.

new house....new batch of weeds
The entire yard is a disaster. Ive been spot spraying for a couple weeks now and its knocking it back but damn it still looks like shite. I have one decent patch of St Aug in the back. Rest, is a weed. This is going to be a fun battle I am not looking forward too.
I got a metric shite ton of Poa Annua at this new place. Anyone want any? I got plenty.
