His contract is through 2020. I really don’t get the hate for Alexander. The only time I’ve seen him seemingly meddle was during the 2015 fire Les/hire Jimbo fiasco when Alleva allow rumors and leaks to run amuck without comment. I could be wrong and welcome correction.

Alleva should have been fired then, as a major part of his job is spin control and damage control if that doesn’t work. That whole ordeal gave LSU a black eye that weakened the appeal to top coaches IMO. Alexander reacted to that plus probable pressure from the Governor, I think he had no choice. And I think Jimbo and his agent played us the whole time as leverage for a raise.
