He was also most probably mentally ill based on what we know about him, a virulent anti-semite and asked for a catholic priest to recant on his deathbed.

His most lasting legacy beyond the reformation are that his writings formed the basis of the Nazi reasoning for the holocaust. He believed the Jews were vermin to be eradicated.

The guy isn't much of a role model.

No need to spread lies. This Lutheran church appears to be doing a good job of that as it is with its stance on transgenderism.
