like les didn't do this
Les isn't the coach anymore, so that doesn't matter. Regardless, wasn't 0 hired purportedly to be better than Les?
quote:
First off who gives a frick
People worried about the public perception of the program when the head coach can't stomach to have non-sunshine pumping tweets sent his way.
quote:
Good move on his part from everything I'm hearing an gathering
Everything you've heard and gathered from 0's propaganda machine in the local media. Also begs the question if Canada was so bad, why did 0 hire him in the first place.
quote:
his job is to inspire a bunch of nerds on a message board
His job is to inspire current players and recruits. Given the amount of transfers, draft departures and the most recent recruiting class, he doesn't seem to be doing too hot in that department.
quote:
He promotes E which has been a very positive feedback from other coaches and players.
You actually think assistants or players would do anything but be openly optimistic about the hire? What choice do they have? The hire was critically panned from almost everyone outside the program.
quote:
This is just untrue.
Biggest arse beating to State ever, lost to Troy, then went out with a whimper against ND due in part to being scared to stick his neck out and go for a TD late in the fourth.
quote:
How quickly you people forget les miles and his antics.
Again, Les isn't the coach anymore. But just to indulge you, Les put skins on the wall his first few years at LSU. Les actually stuck his neck out and took risks that paid off. Of course he bungled a lot later in his career, but that doesn't let 0 off the hook.
quote:
By whom? You and the rest of the dooms day dorks on this site?
By literally every college football fan or talking head in they country who looks at the direction of the program as a whole.
quote:
He has an opp turn things around with winning big games this upcoming season
There is no factual support for the belief that he can win any big games this season. None. He won no big games last season and returns a team with a new QB, new WRs and bad RB depth.
quote:
and land a big recruiting class next feb.
Again, no evidence to support this belief. He just signed the worst class in a decade and a half. What will change between now and then to have a better class?

How do you know LSU will not do better without Canada?
Not the first person on this site knows the answer to this question.
The arrogance many here display is beyond annoying.
I've never seen a group of idiots who jokey and strive so hard to be "right" on an internet message board.
Grown men I'm assuming
It's sad.

Lies to fans
How's that. Because he hired the best OC and it didn't work out so he hired a guy he had seen perform on the job and hired him. If he says something one time and does it and then does something different after he realized the mistake, he is still a liar a year later?
Your lucky he tells the fans anything at all. Which he may start doing.
quote:
Actually blocks fans on Twitter
This makes person unstable? Do you actually think Eaux sits at a computer and logs onto twitter to block people?
quote:
Fired his OC after one year
I'm sure this has happened before. I would think this would make the person being fired unstable and not the person doing the firing.
quote:
Terrible and uninspiring staff hires
A Broyles award candidate? the #2 ranked recruiter in the nation for the 2017 class? Two coaches with super bowl rings since the end of this season? Building a support staff like LSU has never had?
I don't see the terrible hires. To each his own, I guess.
quote:
Terrible in-game coaching
What has the terrible in-game coaching been?
quote:
Already on the hot seat after one year
He's not on the hot seat.
He had a winning record in his first year. He had to play over 30 freshmen. He was having a new offensive system installed. He had critical injuries on the O and D lines.
I'm not sure you know what unstable actually means.

Totally agree with P&G LSU. “Unstable “ would describe the lunatic fringe on message boards like this. Fortunately no one takes them seriously.
The program is in good shape, O has a good staff and we’ll see what happens next season. It’s called being a fan.
And the folks that don’t like O don’t like LSU. Stop saying you’re an LSU fan when you want the coach fired and would rather see the team fail than succeed under the current AD and head coach. You’re a frickup not a fan.

Dude We can go back and forth and back and forth on this.
It's how you choose to look at things.
I'm personally not a fan of the sky falling concept but hey, whatever makes you feel better.
Must suck to live that way, but it's your life. You be you.

My life is fine. That has no bearing on the sad state of affairs that is LSU football. Trying to equate the way someone looks at a football team to their life is a pathetic means of trying to change the tenor of an argument that you're losing.

Our head coach is incompetent and fires a high paid coordinator after one year because he can't manage personalities on his staff
He did manage personalities. Aranda could have left if he wanted. Eaux's decision was to get rid of Canada or probably lose Aranda.
He made the right choice and managed the situation just fine.
quote:
and uses staff openings to get jobs for his buddies
More like people he knows they can do the job. He could have went out and hired a bunch more Matt Canadas.

You can't hide the truth from recruits when all other programs constantly remind them of it
When the truth consists entirely of made up bullshite, a lot of recruits will realize they are being sold a pile of shite.

Which transfer left because he was ‘uninspired’??

Wrong. If you were sold a lemon of a car would you want to keep driving it?
This argument will not be resolved until O is gone and the program is left in 1990’s shambles. It is the shambles that experienced fans seek to avoid. It is that simple.

the fact that 0 dirty recruited the hell out of LSU when he was at Tennessee and USC
There is no fact to this. If there is will you post a link or hell I'll even listen to more made up bullshite for this one. Should be fun. Thanks in advance !!!
quote:
only to now complain that dirty recruiting caused him to miss out on a kid at LSU.
Again a link or something to remotely prove this statement that you have made up in your mind. I have not seen anyone mentioning Eaux complaining about dirty recruiting. But again, I only follow the LSU twitter account.

Losing?
I didn't know this was a competition.
As I clearly stated earlier it's how you CHOOSE to look at things.
Fact is the man is going to have an opportunity to get things going in the direction that we all hope for in a few months.
You might as well ty to enjoy it and hope he does. It's what's best for the program, not your own personal intrests and your desire to be "right"

Losing coaches to promotions is quite different than losing coaches because you are incapable of managing a staff.
Kiffen leaving turned out to something that could be considered a promotion. He was coming to LSU as OC which would have been a lateral move. He then took a huge pay-cut for a HC position.
quote:
quite different than losing coaches
I can think of one who apparently needed to go. Who are the other coaches you speak of? I thought that besides Canada every coach who has left was for a better position or because the were let go.

Sure. Here's a link from his time at Tennessee where he had Janzen Jackson hide his commitment until signing day:
LINK
Having a kid silently commit to you and play another school, only to flip at the signing day announcement, is as dirty as it gets. His dirty recruiting LSU while at Ole Miss was well known.

Orgeron flexed his recruiting muscles today when five-star defensive back Janzen Jackson decommitted from LSU and signed a national letter of intent with Tennessee."I actually told them that Tennessee was where I wanted to be when I visited up there," he said following his announcement.

It's instability and they used Pete's impending retirement against us last year.
Doesn't appear to have done any good last year or this one. I guess Eaux also being a D-line coach offset them using it.

Orgeron made his own self subject to this kind of scrutiny. I dont want to hear the excuses. If he doesnt want people negatively recruiting staff instability, promote more stability within your staff and be better at your job.
