... so I’m voting with my few dollars. After 12 years, there will be NO more season tickets for me. I think it's time to finally end my short tradition.

LSU has in so many ways taken the fun out of attending the games. They are making it almost impossible to tailgate, they are making almost every parking spot on campus a 'pay per game / year’ requirement, they moved the free handicap parking over 1 mile away from the stadium (yet they will bus us to and from the stadium like cattle only at certain times), the cost of food is getting prohibitive, the last Manda sausage dog I ate was good but the bun must've been opened/frozen/opened and defrosted 3 or 4 times as it was hard and almost brittle when trying to take a bite (not to mention the price), the stadium music has only slightly improved from the ear busting rap crap they've played for years, the inside of the stadium looks like an advertising agency teaching seminar and the price of tickets are simply getting too expensive for the average person.

I've been in a wheelchair for 41 years. The LSU administration said they were doing us a favor by adding 20 or 30 parking spots for people with handicaps. So they took away the 80 free parking spots behind the PMAC and moved the handicap parking over a mile away next to the baseball stadium. How considerate of them especially finding out (I heard) that now they’re charging at least $300 for each of those parking spot. I’m done with tailgating and so are a few of the tailgating friends I visited, I’m done with going to the games and I’m done with buying season tickets.

Maybe if things change in the future I will reconsider and perhaps try and get season tickets if some corporation hasn’t purchased my two handicap seats in the upper east section.

As for this LSU fan, I still bleed purple and gold but I will watch the game from the comfort of my living room from now on. I am sure they won’t miss what little bit of money we spend at the games. For me, it’s a sad sad day that they have ruined the best tailgating and football atmosphere experience in college football. I’ll probably get cursed and down voted by many on here.

I’m a relatively new member on Tigerdroppings but a long time reader. I made my decision not to renew my season tickets at the end of last season, not today on NSD. My TAF donation was not as bad as some I’ve read about on this site, but I will still protest by not spending my few dollars at the stadium. I admit I will miss attending the games. But enough is finally enough.

I dumped a year ago after 2 decades. 12 to 8 to 4 to 0 over the last 6 years. Became wasted $ and anybody that went to games 10 years ago knows how bad the game day experience has deteriorated between lost tailgate spots to flashing loud commercialized Tiger Stadium to the BR Police in LaLa Land with hour + long traffic to exit campus.

I hope you will do what I do and watch them from home. It makes alot more sense. The 80s have left us and unfortunately with improvements in broadcast technology many people choose to just stay home and watch.
