Hastings was a fearless reporter who pissed off a ton of people in the MIC and intelligence community. He stated that he feared he was being tracked and followed days before his death and Julian Assange's Vault 7 leaks are clear that the CIA can remotely hack the control system of a person's vehicle. I don't think it's nuts to suggest that our government would do whatever it could to eliminate those it deemed an enemy.
