He's underwhelmed this past year, but I think 3.2mil in savings and 4.8mil in dead space doesn't justify losing a starting caliber TE.

When you weigh our current cap landscape and things you can do to maximize it, that $3.2 becomes valuable. It’s a piece of the puzzle along w doing something w streif, restructuring morestwad etc

You cannot keep fleeener at the cost vs his production. He’s been below replacement level player by Saint TE standards paired w Brees. If anything he needs to take a pay cut

Our current cap landscape is 31.7mil in cap space and assuming Brees signs a long-term deal we're looking at 20mil going into free agency. Not including cuts, restructures, and extensions.

That 3.2mil won't limit you. 3.2mil can be easily had.

What's more valuable:
Fleener @ 3.2mil in savings
or
Hooman @1.6mil in savings and Banjo @1.7mil in savings
or
Stupar @1.725mil in savings and Banjo @1.7mil in savings

Or hell, all 4 of them being cut.
