From what I'm understanding, the Executive Branch of the government weaponized the IC to derail an opposition party presidential candidate.

THAT, my friend, is Stalinist tactics, and stands in opposition to the very ideals this country was founded on.

If you think that's a "Nothing Burger," you're being wilfully ignorant.

The memo confirms that Obama and the FBI KNOWINGLY used false information paid for by Hillary and associates in order to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on an American citizen who just happened to be the GOP nominee for president and then president elect. First to alter the results of our presidential election, then to spy on a POTUS.

Please explain how this is a nothing burger liberals.

PLEASE explain how this is not worse than Watergate.

Am I the only one who is meh on this? This is incompetence and grandstanding on both sides.

On the Republican side there isn't anything in this memo I didn't already know. This memo isn't anything close to Watergate or the Pentagon Papers in scope like the Republicans claim. Those events changed minds. People who were pro-Vietnam or neutral on Vietnam became anti-Vietnam after the Pentagon Papers were released. People who were pro-Nixon or neutral on Nixon became anti-Nixon when the Watergate story broke. This changes no ones mind. If you think the FBI and DOJ are railroading Trump with fake evidence before this memo you still think that way. If you think Trump kidnapped the Lindbergh baby, assassinated JFK, and blew up the World Trade Center on 9/11 before the memo you still think that way. This was a nothingburger.

On the Democratic side you people have been trying to shoot the Republicans in the foot every day since last November. Here the Republicans are more than willing to do it for you and instead you take all the bullets out of the gun with your reactions to this. There is nothing in this memo that has any reason to be labeled top secret or classified. Colonel Sanders can make a better case for keeping his fried chicken recipe classified than anyone can for anything in this memo. Why didn't you just let the Republicans embarrass themselves by releasing this with your approval instead of fighting them every step of the way?

To me the only explanation that makes sense is that the Democrats know there is something important they don't want the rest of the country to know about somewhere in this bureaucratic haze and don't want the Republicans rooting around even if their sense of smell is too bad to pick up on anything. They have to feel that even though the Republicans were barking up the wrong tree they are barking in the right forest.

Dear Perfect Circle,
Like you, I am looking at this through my own understanding of what has happened in the past several months. I am not being willfully ignorant; far from it.
For example, please enlighten us on your understanding that the Executive Branch 'weaponized the IC' to derail a presidential candidate.
Which administration are you talking about?

And, while we're at it, the apparent complaint of this memo is that a FISA court was misled into issuing an extension of a warrant for surveillance against ONE individual.

How would that possibly derail a presidential candidate?
And, to the larger point, the Mueller investigation and many investigations in Congress are trying to get to the bottom of how Russia (yes, birthplace of Stalin) interfered in our last presidential election. The intelligence community has been on record about this threat for months, because they recognize the threat it is to our country.
That's what you should be worried about, sir.
Respectfully.
