Let's just say we go 0-4 to start the season, do you then want to let the season "play out?"

I'm not saying that I want that to happen or that it will happen. It won't. But the idea that seasons have to "play out" before you do anything is crazy. To me, if we went 0-4, then that is things "playing out," and something should be done. Get it?

The only difference is, where you see the current trend right now, where do things "play out." Some people see it as perilously close to a major fall. Others are more optimistic. We'll all disagree on the whys or the hows. There's enough evidence to say the trend is not good, and I guess there's enough evidence to say the trend is "good," if you want to describe it that way. I think, specifically the more optimistic posters, should realize what Lunatik is saying, these threads only bring up talking about the differences. And there's, logically, more evidence for pessimism than optimism. If you just kind of let people be realistic without trying to convince them they are wrong, you probably wouldn't get negative threads and negative responses every day. Just a thought.

That’s the rub. Some believe there is and some believe there is not. O was far from a perfect or great coach this year; likewise he was far from horrible. Plenty to debate about this year. Bringing up the hiring process, the years at Ole Miss, bemoaning his age and that he was a position coach advances nothing. It’s all about wins and losses and recruiting.
