What happened to the men's basketball team the last 2 games?

No energy and looks like they called it quits for the season. Doup and Mays are the only players I see playing hard every minute. No excitement at all. The team played with more energy earlier this season.

Young team with a good coach. We will be fine. What were you expecting?

They played two good teams. This past game they had 7 scholarship players. They simply aren't that good.
Need more reasons?

To play hard every game just like they did prior to the last 2 games.

They played teams on the road with more talent and depth. And against Tennessee they were down to 7 scholarship players due too suspensions to pile on top of everything. For LSU to win they have to be a good shooting team from the 3 and they’ve not been hot at all.

You just looked at the score huh? There were points in the second half where they battled it back to being really close. I would say they played hard.
Watch at seasons end. The two teams LSU just played will each finish in the top 3 in the SEC.

I know we are severely undert talented. I'm talking about playing hard and showing effort. This is the same team who played with energy up until the last 2 games.

What makes you think they played with no effort?

Not hustling and getting beat down court. Diving for loose balls. Not playing with any emotion. Giving up easy baskets. Uncontested shots.

Reality set in
Reality set in before the season started for those that have sense. Jones left this team a big pile of shite. This team has overachieved up to this point. Everybody knew SEC play would be difficult. This team won't a few games and played Kentucky tough, and in rantard form, people started expecting the NCAA tourney or bust. This team was not making the tournament.

when you are playing with 7 scholarship players, and maybe 3 of the 7 being legit players, stuff like that will happen. People get tired and worn out. Every single team gets beat down the court, and gives up easy shots. You don't watch much basketball huh?

Waters 11 total points in 2 games. Obviously there is something going on.

Yeah, he is no longer catching people by surprise. Extra effort is being put in to not let him beat teams by himself anymore. Nobody else is good enough to step up.

THIS TEAM IS NOT GOOD.
They have spurts where they look good but they don’t have the depth nor the talent to keep it up for 40 minutes. Especially against a quality team. The A&M games are fool’s gold as A&M can’t shoot consistently so LSU just took away the lane and forced them to shoot. The last two games the teams have good to great perimeter players and LSU just can’t keep up with those types of teams.

Les Miles has definitely lost control of the men's basketball team. The decline is real.

The fact we even have a winning record is good enough for me after the last moron in charge

Reality came after the bama and uga games. These last two games were against really good teams, and being short handed last night certainly didn’t help.

I'm not a fan of Wade, but I was impressed by the fact that he had the gumption to suspend the four players. I really wanted us to win, because I think a Coach that will do that deserves to win that game.
I figure Wade is using this season to try to sort things out. I didn't like the Wade hype because, until he gets his team in and has a full season with legitimate results, any talk of "he's the greatest" is just talk. I'm not going to punish him because of this season, nor am I going to anoint him as the greatest because of all the talk.
I'm sure the transition process is difficult for a coach.
I don't ever bash players (except Simmons AFTER he went to the NBA).

My opinion is that they are running out of gas. There are only about 7 of them getting regular minutes and they lack size.
I think they’ve hit a wall.
