PSVue has most of the features you are looking for, locals, guide, and dvr (I think) at a similar price point. However I don't know which is better as I'm actually looking at getting both now. I say all that to possibly get some responses on the differences in them and which is better if it's pretty clear.

PSVue has DVR. In fact, my wife almost started a riot with DirecTV pissing her off not having it back in Spring 2017.
DirecTV did run very well though, but then again I've never really had any lag issues overall at my house.
Is DirecTV not giving out free Apple TVs right now? That's how I got mine.
