How is the Moore situation because of McConnell? If not for Alabama voters choosing a guy solely because he hates the queers, a decent Republican like Strange walks right over the Democrat.

Luther Strange got the senate seat thanks to a corrupt bargain by slow walking an investigation into the Luv Guv. Mitch apparently didn't see this as a liability and a sign that maybe he needs to stay out or at least make sure he doesn't win.

And Luther Strange and and Mitch McConnell slung all kinds of bullshite at Mo Brooks and it pissed off a lot of people including Mo Brooks who endorsed Roy Moore for the primary runoff.

The rest is history but he did a good thing in crushing Steve Bannon's influence after he realized how he fricked up with Strange and Brooks.

Simple. I live in Bama. Strange was always going to be very problematic because of his pretty obvious corruption with the prior Gov.

But, he got ALL of the party money and ran a complete scorched Earth campaign against Brooks who was basically frozen out of funding by the party and couldn't respond.

I guess the morons just assumed that after they shite on Brooks, Brooks voters would go to them in the Strange/Moore run. But, alas, the perfectly predictable happened and Moore beat Strange.

If Brooks were set against Moore, Brooks would have beaten him by 15 points and would have plowed Jones.

I have no idea where you get "decent" and Strange in the same sentence. The guy had an albatross around his neck. Everyone knew what he'd done.

Still, he probably would have won but for the EXTREMELY dishonest campaign he ran against Brooks.

You really just can't run scorched Earth against a guy and then think his voters will follow you after you do it.
