This is lengthy but it has to be if anyone is going to explain what is happening within the LHSAA.

I didn't read every detail, however it was a godo read from what I read. The LHSAA sucks. Teams 0-10, 1-9, 2-8 all the way up to 5-5 should never been in the playoffs.

Positive change won't happen until West Monroe and Jesuit have proportionally more power than Hackberry and Johnson Bayou in the voting process

Need an electoral college system.

But yet this EXACT proposal passed 209-116.
To clarify, this proposal was promoted as having between 120-140 select schools.
By the end of the meeting, Karr and a few other schools had already been reclassified from Select to Non-Select. That should give you a better understanding of just how much of a circus this proposal was about to create.
This is where the supports of the split messed up. They trade private schools winning titles for Charter schools winning titles.
Since 2014-
Edna Karr charter has won the state title in 2016, and 2017. Was runner up in 2015.
Landry Walker charter won the football state title in 2016, and won the basketball state title in 2014, 2015, 2017.
Warren Easton hasn't been this good since the 1940s

The kids are picking their schools through OneApp but don't confuse that with the schools selecting kids

I appreciate all of you putting an eye on this; I get it is lengthy but if I fail to put something in it, I would get called out. I'm laughing because some of the English professors on here are ridiculing my writing' I am a coach not a author but it bothers me enough to try and educate the public. It will be bigger than just a split if someone don't control those jackasses on the Executive Committee.
