Its amazing to see people on here thinking it was ok to lose to a southland team.

Is it unacceptable when a southland conference team makes the round of 32 or sweet 16?

This reflects more of a football mentality. In basketball, there are always mid-major teams that can compete with, and beat, a lot of "Power 5" teams. It's just the nature of the sport; it's easier for a small school to succeed, simply because you don't need that many good players. (Exhibit A: Indiana State with Larry Bird.) I haven't been following the sport that closely this season, so I can't say how good SFA is this year, but the fact they are from the Southland Conference has very little to do with how good they are or how they would compare to a "Power 5" team.

Honestly, who are we? LSU has had 1 freaking tourney appearance this decade and 0 tourney wins. SFA has had 3 appearances (2014, 2015 and 2016). And they advanced to the 2nd round by beating the #3 and #5 seeds in two of those years.

Yes, we should be better than them looking at our resources, but they have a good team this year and we are rebuidling after a bad stretch.
