re: No hot water with a tankless water heater outside.

When I built my house they said my tankless unit had to be in an insulated garage at a minimum. Preferable to be in a temperature controlled space. I don't know if they knew what they were talking about or not...but I've be in single digits the last two nights and my water temperature has been fine (with the unit in the insulated garage).
