How in the world is that his responsibility though? You can't just criticize someone for humanitarian efforts just because it wasn't a cause you personally care about.

It's his money and what's important to him is eradicating polio among other things.

We spend more already.

And honestly, crying about where a private citizen puts their money is really shitty.

Would it have upset anyone if Gates bought a couple yachts for his kids with that money and we never heard this story? Shouldn't a thread have been started on a random Tuesday in November about how Gates didn't give 76 million to the homeless in America?

Since 1965 the U.S. has spent 45 trillion dollars attempting to eradicate poverty, and the homeless, more money is not the answer.
