So you think they’ll lose dem voters by obstructing republicans? Unlikely, very unlikely. In fact, I’d argue recent history shows just the opposite.
My point is, there’s nothing really at stake for Dems. Much like how republicans obstructed Obama’s agenda every chance they got, and they gained votes for it, when Dems were sure republicans would flee their party out of frustration with their leadership.
Didn’t happen then, not happening this time.
