Just watching all the people fall over this word is fricking hilarious. And it's everywhere. So many people done gone crazy over the word shithole. IT's absolutely laughable.

I think what bothers people is that it makes progs feel compelled to justify that countries such as Haiti are not "shitholes", which causes some sort of cognitive dissonance that makes them angry.

I'm just really really tired of the fake outrage, and I'm tired of the cliche words and phrases of politics like fake outrage...
Liberals are really much more divisive than republicans could ever dream of in present day politics. It's amazing the crap they throw out there.
I really don't understand how logical, thoughtful people could be progressive. I know there are liberals out there who find all this ridiculous, like the rest of us do.
I would not want to be associated with any of these "sky screamer" crazies. Sky screamer is apparently the new stupid political phrase. I guess it fits, but I think made up words and phrases are a bit juvenile.

How many liberal speakers have been protested and boycotted around the country by conservatives?
I should probably use the word progressives rather than liberals. I'm sure some liberals wouldn't want to be associated in any way to these crazy progressives.

There's a 700 page thread on this forum where Trump supporters literally believe the Hawaii missile test snafu was triggered by Trump personally hacking into a database to prove Hillary is evil.

The issue is the media.
1. Partisan media will make anything an outrage, but I don't care. Rush will blow anything up that makes dems look bad, but MSNBC will do the same for repubs.
2. The ostensibly non-partisan media will also exaggerate the importance of anything that is anti-trump. Some of this is because they despise Trump personally. Some of it is retaliation for the "mean" attacks he makes on reporters. Some of it is good old liberal bias.
But some of it is the cable news 24 news cycle format. Most of it isn't news, but people talking about the news. And not about policy (that's boring) but about salacious nonsense (that's like TV roadkill).
And some of it is just plain laziness. It's hard reporting on policy. It's easy to just plaster "shithole" on every headline.

However, you're wrong to say nobody cares. An ambassador stepped down over it. You're not being genuine pretending like it's no big deal.

I perused through the thread about that. Didn't the ambassador resign before the comments?
They really only care because they see it as ammunition to attack Trump. That's all it is. If a democratic senator or even a democratic president said it, it wouldn't have even made the news.
