They are not all like that and that episode probably has some of the most extreme subject matter in the series.
The one with the politician and the pig? Seriously? To me, that's child's play compared to the ones that imply eternally tortured consciousnesses.

What really disgusted me is when the PM was about to do the deed, and got started and they started showing all the leering faces gathered in the pubs and sports bars and work places to watch this happening live. Like as if it was the World Cup or the Super Bowl. Sure there were some who were horrified that this was happening; a few sniffles amongst the laughter and jeering. But mostly peep show faces, fascinated by this whole thing. Sickos, IMO.
You were intended to be disgusted by the fact that humanity isn't all that humane when you get right down to it.

I am a Boomer. I know mine is the fave target generation for blame for many finger pointers in younger generations who want to believe Boomers have single handedly fricked the world. A fairer assessment would be that people have fricked the world. Some are Boomers. Some pre-Boomers. Some Gen-Xers. Some millennials. Some younger. People not generations are what frick the world. People come in all sorts of ages. People are the ones in the BM1.1 episode who are depicted as eagerly gathering to watch this PM play patriot and do the pig. Like it was something cool. And real people who actually watch this atrocity on Netflix are either entertained or repulsed. I am among the latter, but not because I’m a Boomer. I still feel dirty from having watched it. Shows like this frick the world.
It's interesting to me how older Puritans are so casually dismissive of violence. These are the people who will watch a graphic war movie with their 14 year old but then be aghast if there's female nudity or...SEX depicted. Yet they will watch the opening sequence of Saving Private Ryan over and over again. Personally, I'd much rather frick a pig than be the first off the boats in Normandy.

If you have to call names to feel better about yourself, then ask yourself who is really close-minded.

Have you no self-awareness? You've spent the entire thread dumping on people's character for not being as put off by you.

I always tell people to skip episode one.

But... the whole show is pretty bleak. It is interesting but damn if it isn't harsh.
