It's shocking how bare the talent is there. They are closer to being a mediocre MAC athletic program than they are to competing in the B10.

How are they so bad? I mean if Northwestern can win 8 or 9 games in football with Fitzgerald and make the NCAA tournament in basketball, you'd think Illinois could at least be competitive.
