Not getting your logic here, other than the cost of the steel itself why should a smaller vehicle be less expensive?

I get the same trim levels being a bit cheaper but I would never expect a loaded small truck to cost less than a stripped full size.

The vast majority of componets are the exact same, power window motors, A/C systems, leather and touch screens dont care what size the truck is, they cost the same.

Point I was making is that you can spend a whole lot more on a compact truck than the cheapest half ton. They're not for people who "can't afford a half ton."
