I recognize the FTDI chip from my excursion into JP1 remotes several years ago. Their stuff worked great, while the Delcom-based cable I tried did not.

Why are yall linking expensive arse ones?
Anything that uses the Prolific PL2303, FTDI FT232, or SiLabs CP2102 chipset should work great.
$8.99 Prolific-based serial-USB converter
Note that some shite just won't be compatible with USB adapters. Some stuff requires native serial support.
