It isn’t awful. He is very pro-gun and libertarian in his stances.
He is also very pro-military in all of his novels.
The good thing is that he doesn’t overtly insult opposing viewpoints. He just uses what I assume to be his stances in his stories.
What I’m trying to say is that he isn’t preachy.
