I think the Minecraft comparison just comes from the building aspect of the game.
Being more creative can be very rewarding.
I suck at building, though have gotten better, but people who are good at it beat me 1v1 almost every single time. Luckily, I play squads and not solo lol.

If anything the building is more rust style but instant. Nothing like Minecraft IMO.
