Definitely need to hold judgement on the Sullivan hire. Our WRs definitely need work, fundamentals and technique.
As for CSE it's a two-headed monster for me:
- The first, I think he'll be a decent OC maybe even very good. 2016 with no prep wasn't bad; let's see what he does with these last two classes. So I'm 'withholding judgement' from that aspect.
- Secondly, how we got to CSE as OC is fricktarded. There's the 'broken promise'thing, the 'why'd we hire Canada anyway' thing. For me it's a missed opportunity to upgrade the staff overall. It's one thing if you fire Canada, make CSE QB coach, and bring in a more proven OC of which there are several available. Maybe promote CSE, bring in a QB coach (or another offensive specialist, not 'recruiter') to augment the offensive side of the ball. The key words, missed opportunity. And then combine it with the other things from the binder, promises, or whatever it just looks ugly. It looks like 'nepotism Les' or 'OM Orgeron' to me. I like neither of those.
