He was an interim. When will people learn being an interim and taking over midseason a product that's already been prepared is totally different than having to do the preparation and assembly all on your own? I hope this all works out, I really do, because I will never root for LSU to be unsuccessful. But he's had stints at full time OC jobs before and failed multiple times.
Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. Just like O said he learned from his mistakes at Ole Miss and would let his coordinators do their jobs, he didn't do it. Canada is gone because he intervened and handcuffed him from doing what he wanted to do with the offense. Just like he did at Ole Miss. O can talk the talk, but past behavior has held true to what he's doing now. And now O is assembling a staff of his buddies that won't go against him, including Steve whose past behavior has shown he's not cut out to be an OC, and now 20 years removed from his last full time OC job he's suddenly the best man for the job?
Like I said, I hope for the best. But the realist in me doesn't like what I see an despite it all it's an embarrassment how the administration has handled all this ever since the end of 2015.
