No one wants to cone here cause of the clusterfrick we have not only at the HC position but also at AD and they don't wanna be on this sinking ship.....umm ya that's it!!

A lot of head coaches would leave for 2 to 2.5 mil a year .

That's pretty close to the truth. We have Orgeron because Alleva fricked up the process starting in 2015.
Think about the perception:
Coach starts off 7-1, then the coach who won a national championship and led you to play in another starts losing a few games at the end of the season and the AD succumbs to fans and a drunk booster and very publically goes poaching for another team's coach....then when this public search goes bad , then goe on TV and says ....."naaaah, Les is our man>" When everyone knows that he really isn't and Les knows that he isn't. Then in the next season Les loses 2 games to Wisconsin and Auburn(no pushovers)by a total of 7 points he gets shitcanned after 4 games into a season.
If you were a potential hire, would this not affect you in your decision making? Especially if you already had a good job and could afford to say no?

A lot more qualified people could be brought in for what we could pay.
Mike Yurcich makes $600K a year.
Darrell Dickey will make south of $1M.
Chip Lindsey makes $700K a year.
Tim Beck makes $800K a year.
Doug Meacham makes $520K a year.
Sonny Cumbie makes $700K a year.
All of these guys are more qualified than the guy we just hired and we can pay more than any of these guys are currently making. At a minimum we should have at least interviewed them and gotten them raises like a proper arms war. Don’t think aTm didn’t know what it was doing when they got in a bidding war for Aranda.
