I wish O and Canada would have just worked out their differences.

Hammer me if you like, but I really felt confident going into next season with Brennan and LN having a full season under their belts learning the system.

This thread offers no juicy scoops or details. Just me ranting and venting. I'm still pissed.

I am with you.

I am apparently spoiled by payboards, as the bashing that takes place here is second to none.

That said, 80% of the posters here are top of the line people I would crack open a beer with.

Canada was a homerun and Orgeron made him muddle down his offense. This offense had serious potential THIS year. Orgeron repeatedly nixed his plans .

Sounds like Canada wasn't working as hard as the rest of the staff, so maybe it's better off he's gone.

Plenty of coaches don’t get along swimmingly. They are type A assholes. The fact that Orgeron hired a known dick in the first place is bad enough. But to lose him after just a season is a testament to his inability to lead. As the HC you should be able to mend those relationships for the sake of the players and program. JMO.

You can be a type A a-hole. But you can’t be a type A a-hole who doesn’t recruit and fielded the 76th best scoring offense in the nation.

I really did too. Sad part is, we will never know if what he supposedly said to coach O and recruites were true.
If they were, he had to go. There is no way around it...anybody working any job would have been fired for insubordination.
If they are not true, then O is making a huge mistake in firing him.

Not one instance of Canada negatively recruitng his own school has surfaced to anyone anywhere, at any time.

Thats career destroying and utterly foolish.

So you are saying I am just making that rumor up now?... Don't get me wrong, it is just a rumor, but it's not my rumor. It was posted on this board repeatedly.
Which is why I said in my previous comment, "if it's true".

Me too. I would love to see what a fully functioning Canada offense can do with LSU’s talent, a strong O-LIne with depth and an elite QB. ...and I was willing to wait a few seasons to see it. Some expectations for how such a big change in philosophy can be implemented in such a short time are just crazy. But if Orgeron is going to make his staff decisions this way, I don’t think we should give him any latitude with performance.

Hire Steve Ensminger, I suppose. I'm not the coach here.

"It was posted on this board repeatedly" simply isnt good enough.

I never heard anything of that nature. I wont rule it out completely , as that would be going against believing we never know everything about a man.

But when I say thats career ending..thats an understatment. Few high schools even would hire a man willing to negatively impact his schools performance.

Plus..you wont see a credible source with that info. Likely an excuse made up by someone trying to justify to themselves losing a recruit.

I just want to know how a OC can be judged after one year of installing his system with a below average QB. This had nothing to do with production and everything to do with hurt feelings. It's the epitome of being unprofessional.

These expectations were set by Canada himself. He said the offense was simple and easy to learn.

Our production likely would have been better with Canada being able to select the QB. We also would be in a better position this year.

According to Sonny, not many on staff liked Canada, including Aranada. Was crap for staff cohesion.
