Meeting today made it clear he will NOT send illegal dreamers home. He will end up agreeing to a bill low energy Jeb or short Marco would have supported.

I'm not a Trump supporter but I'm all for those who were brought here as children being allowed to stay. They don't know any other country. DACA has some pretty strict requirements. They can't be a criminal and have to be employed or in school, as well as having come during a certain time period.
I can't imagine being placed in a country that I have no recollection of or any knowledge of. No ties, having lived my whole life in another country.
Those who came here as adults, I don't have the same sympathy for.

This doesn’t open the borders or destroy the rule of law.
It makes sense and fits with who America is.

I'd send them back if I could, but as long as the lottery program is nixed, the wall is built, and the visa program is is cleaned up, then I can live with one final amnesty for the "dreamers" and them alone. No family. If they don't like that, then they can GTFO.

They were brought/sent here as minors. We hold minors accountable for crimes now? It’s a misdemeanor even for adults. And, many of them were small children. It’s the difference between children and adults.
