Why not?
It's been laid out as to why. You just don't accept it because it's not that way in the video.
My in-laws know board members and educators down there. They know the backstories. They know the issues at hand.
The question was relevant. Why is the SI getting a raise based on performance or because he's been here for 5 years when teachers who are more directly involved and have more time in were not? Why was a SI getting a raise when the district is at a deficit?
If that is not the appropriate time to bring up objections, what is? If a board member brought those objections (the other 4 wanted the SI out), no one would have a problem with it. But, AGAIN, because she is a TEACHER, she's in the wrong?

She could have hammered the real issues that she initially took a stand for. Instead, she went for the scripted lines that big networks handed her and the handouts that the lawyers are suggesting she take
Because that's where the lawyers who are advising her know they will make the most $$$$$$$$$$$.
Fontana, the lawyer, is the issue. Yet its other lawyers, that are likely just like Fontana, who are steering the ship from the other side of things.

Definitely something should be brought up if there is something one believes in. But there is a proper time and place for that.
And if a lot of people think like GeauxLSUBengals, everyone should just shut up, get in line, and take it up the arse.
How do you feel about NFL players protesting and kneeling during the national anthem?

Government doesn't operate like traditional for profit business does...business is far more shrewd...they try to save, government tries to spend all of it
Right. If a department doesn't spend their whole budget, the next year they will not get the same amount that they had the previous year.
When I worked for local government while in college, towards the end of October we would have to start ordering shite even if we didn't really need it. We would order office supplies we didn't really need, etc, etc. We had to because if we didn't our budget would get cut and then if we did need the money for something for the next year, it wouldn't be there.

Instead, she and national media spotlight shined on women's rights and police brutality.
The police brutality is a different story, but even a VPSB member made a comment about how women have been treated differently (unfairly) by that board. I think they even caught that on video.
Wasn't there video posted here of a man acting far worse than her at one of those meetings, and they didn't remove him?

That if I made a political statement at work once a week I would be fired. That's how I feel about it

Like it was pointed out before, this has been a hot button topic that has been discussed in these meetings before. And I'm not sure why its an issue to bring it up again during the public comment section of the meeting. Seems like the time to do it (again...not the first time this was brought up and discussed).

Has zero to do with this, but I couldn't care less. I don't personally agree with doing it, but those players have every right to peacefully protest however they feel would bring the most light to their issues.

Thats not how it works. Is your reading comprehension really that bad?

Why do you not agree with them doing it?

You have no clue how government budgeting works.
Most agencies will deduct money from a department or office if they didn't spend the same amount the previous year. It is assumed that the money was not needed, and can be spent elsewhere.
Right or wrong, that is how government budgeting works.

Because I personally don't think that kneeling for the national anthem is a good look.
I have no problem with anyone doing it though.
I also would have no problems if the boss, in this situation owners or the NFL, would say that they do not condone this in the work place. It would be a dangerous stance to take though, from a PR stand point.
If my boss tells me that I can't protest a certain way at work, then I run the risk of facing the consequences if I did it.
Again though....these two things aren't compareable.

Let me spell it out for you in simplistic terms.
Let's say you have $10 to spend in Year 1. You only need $8 for Year 1, but you spend $10 so you'll get $10 in Year 2. If you would have only spent the needed $8 in Year 1 then you only get $8 in Year 2. However in Year 2 you needed $10. So the original comment on this was in order to get that whole $10 in Year 2 we would have needed to spend $10 in Year 1. But if they would have only spent $8 in Year 1 then they'd have the $2 extra in capital plus the $8 they received for Year 2, which makes the $10 needed for Year 2 WITHOUT stressing the whole system. And the system is further stressed when compounded by everyone doing what was done in the original statement.

Thats not how it works.
Have 10 mill to spend one year, and only spend 8. Then the next year you will only have 8 to spend.....not 12.
Idk why I'm even continuing on. Its like debating with a brick wall.

I don't know what government agencies you've worked for, but you typically don't just carry over whatever you didn't spend in Year 1 to Year 2.

I think you need to better understand how government budgets typically work.

It depends, things like capital outlay are most definitely carried over
