BHO's monument to himself (aka his presidential library) criticized for its lavishness

'Reports first surfaced last fall that the monument to the first black president’s legacy was taking on an activity-center vibe. There would be a museum – but also a basketball court, possibly a room for yoga classes, and a test kitchen to teach visitors “about the full production cycle of nutritious food.”'

The damned thing is looking like a Mayan pyramid with a ball court and everything. More proof that the Obamas think of themselves as deities.

I figured it would be a shack, but the cars parked in front would be fully decked out.

IT should be like one of those giant Chicago projects where he bought his rock

Looks very Kenyan to me.

No Obama documents in Obama library? Historians puzzled by Chicago center plans

Can Our President find a way to cut the budget to the library?

It reminded me of a Mayan pyramid we visited in Yucatan.

That has a middle age mideast fortress look with the tall narrow windows. Like arrow slits.

Somebody needs to go paint the entire thing fuschia and lime green when it's done.

Are presidential libraries built with public money or private donations?

I know we foot the bill for staff and security, but are we on the hook for libraries too?

I think Marc Rich helped fund Bill Clinton's library with his ill-gotten gains.

Those bags of cash brought in during those "coffees" helped.
