Would you mind answering the question?
How about french fries? Is that better?
ETA: and I'll have you know I eat the frick out of fried chicken. Had some last night actually. Sorry you think it's racist to eat it.

Sure, rintin, let’s tax French fries.
Anything with that exceeds the calories and bad fat ration like French fries should be taxed. The money should be put into programs that exclusively educate the public on the dangers of eating these types of foods, as well as what to eat.
The fatties will gladly pay extra to get at those fries. I imagine it will only take a generation or two to thin the herd out before these companies go out of business and the majority of the population isn’t obese.
I understand you like to imagine that people are smart enough to think for themselves. I guarantee you the majority of the conservative posters here are obese, which 1) proves they really are idiots, and 2) they are the cause of healthcare costs.

I'm white and I eat the frick out of fried chicken. I love me some fried chicken. Why do you think fried chicken is only for black people?
You know what kind of people relate a certain food to a certain race? A racist.

Any item that prolongs someone's idleness should be taxed as it makes them unhealthy.
Cars, chairs, computers, phones, all shall be taxed as they are unhealthy.
Only pure meat, locally grown produce and grain shall be allowed. We're going back to an agrarian society.
Electricity makes us weak. No need for that. It forces us to become dependant on machines and makes us lazy and unhealthy.
Come on RFK. Why stop at processed foods? Cars and electricity and TV etc are all horrible things that make us lazy and fat. Let's do away with them

How do french fries exceed "the calories" as you say?
What if I only eat 5?
And you know french fries alone have almost zero fat don't you?
You know what has alot of fat and are much more calorie dense than french fries? Almonds. Should we tax those too?

French fries have no fat, you say??
Wow you are even stupider than the average conservative, I’m afraid

How so? Do you like unhealthy and fat people? Cars make us fat and lazy because we're sitting in traffic for 3 hours a day instead of walking.
TV makes us fat becauee we sit there and watch it instead of plowing our fields and raising our cattle to eat locally and untainted food.
I thought you wanted to tax and make anything that makes us fat and lazy basically nonexistent...
So... Why do you need your phone? Why do you need your car? Why do you need your TV? Your computer? They all make you fat. They all make you lazy.
Ohhhh you're one of those "do as I say and not as I do" frick heads.

Yes, potatoes have very little fat. The fat comes from the oil they're fried in. But you can indeed make them without frying them in oil.
Next question.
ETA: I'm trying to be cordial here, yet you seem to be incapable. Just hurling insults and whatnot. And your deflection of questions clues me that you don't have a good understanding of this subject.

This particular tax in the OP is in ultra-liberal Seattle. Are the majority of those commies obese? Are the libs in Seattle not smart enough to think for themselves?

People who think it’s ok to purchase cokes by the 24-pack are not.
While Seattle is light years ahead of a place like, let’s say Baton Rouge, unfortunately there are stupid people everywhere. This tax will send the message to them.

Yep and I'm a food Nazi, and I'm actually not even against sin taxes in theory. But if we are going to have MORE consumption tax, we need to get rid of all the other levels of taxation. Plus trying to do sin tax with nutrition is a fool's errand because as I suggested, the government is a major bad actor in our various health crises and there is so much room for corruption and undue influence, and any benefit is outweighed by ill consequence, intended and unintended, foreseeable and not.
Also, I have zero faith that the tax revenue will be put to good use.
