How bout Shiano, Pendergast, lupoi, maybe someone from the league. I love what Aranda has brought to LSU, but he really isn’t irreplaceable. Our defense was not the best, and actually cost us against Notre Dame. I don’t want Aranda to leave at all, but he’s not the coach of any of the playoff teams, nor were we even close.

The OP is missing the bigger more important point.
The downfall of the LSU football (and other programs) started YEARS ago.
Upper management - President and AD are major reasons.
Just because we CAN hire a good or better DC - doesn’t mean the program is on an upward trend and WILL compete for ATL anytime soon.
F. King nixed “the Jimbo to LSU” deal over $$$
Alleva has proven to make poor hires (too early on Wade - but even a retarded squirrel finds a nut).
The PRO-LSU people with major deep pockets - must converge to save this ship!!

Because our offense sucks, our head coach is a buffoon, and we lost 5 players that start on NFL defenses their rookie year?
When he had those players and an old head coach's system we allowed 3 TDs in our 4 losses.
