it definitely triggers me, but because of the following reasons (using GT/UGA as an example since they are SEC team that we play every year):

1) UGA beats us much more often than not. Why would their fans want to chant SEC! after beating us? UGA whooped GT's arse, it wasn't the SEC that whooped GT's arse. GT has a pretty strong record against SEC teams not named UGA over the past 10-15 years, so it has nothing to do with conference. Show pride in your own school and revel in the fact that your school is whooping us.

2) Because of the SEC chant, now, when GT beats an SEC team, our dumbass fans feel the need to chant "ACC!", and it's all as a response to the dumbass "SEC!" chant.

3) It's just flat out dumb to revel in the accomplishments of other schools when your own team can't take care of business. It's one thing to recognize that, in the grand scheme of things, fellow conference members' success benefits you. It's an entirely different thing to actively chant "ACC!" as a Duke fan when FSU, Clemson, etc does your dirty work.

TL;DR....dickriding is dumb

Yeah, uh, this ain't how it works.

Duke would chant ACC when THEY won something.

Also, the rest of the country shouldn't have ganged up on the SEC when it was really rolling. Y'all idiots came up with "SEC bias." Y'all shite on the SEC at every turn. Constantly put em down in the media even when it was clear that the conference was still top dog.

The other 4 conferences created this mess.
