Incorrect. I live near Arlington and TAD has my house valued at $255k and I pay around $6k. We have no income taxes and are in a good ISD for our kids. I miss my friends, LSU football, and food in LA, but not much else.

You’re probably coming out much further ahead. Louisiana sales tax+Income tax+the cost of putting your kid in a private school (which is a necessity if you don’t want them stabbed) would cost a hell of a lot more than 6k.
It’s amazing that Texas is right next door and we are worlds apart in terms of having shite together.
