Maybe it's the car scene here, but they are nearly as popular as the Sub.
The Speedy is a great watch, but they offer way too many versions of the same watch IMO. It's like what Ford does with the Mustangs and all their "appearance package" models.

Lots of people say the same thing about the Speedy and Omega as a whole. I have never really gotten the reasoning even after years of watching it be debated on watch forums. It just gives the consumer more options. If the ones with the 9300 movements weren't so thick I could go crazy in that part of Omega's catalog, I like almost every one of them.
