Follow up - it's clear that the Democrats' pivot if/when their narrative goes sideways is to have the MSM point out "well these cuts are temporary - they will 'sunrise'" in 2024.
That's not a great argument IMO either. 2024 is lightyears away politically speaking.

And the democrats are the only ones who would vote against making the cuts permanent in 2014.
