Either they made an effort to keep him or they didn't.

If they did and AT was so set on leaving that he turned them down without even knowing what the offer at UT was, AT looks dumb but it also shows that the situation in the admin just may not be that appealing at the moment to those with other options.

If they didn't, which would be troubling in and of itself, and the local media is just printing out whatever our admin tells them to to keep the fans sedated then yes that is even more troubling.

What is wrong with you people? This guy has left LSU twice, and he left the second time with about 10 days to go in the early signing period. You people act like the program is going to fold.

I'm sure Austin Thomas is good at his job. But there are other people who can fill the role. If you want to get upset that Alleva still has his job or that Orgeron is the head coach of LSU, I have no problem with that and I'm with you there on both counts. But don't melt over some barely 30-something who is a staffer. He's not the only guy that organize a recruiting effort.

As far as I'm concerned, good riddance to Austin Thomas. The fact he left without having the Tennessee job completely secured shows incredibly bad judgment so the guy isn't perfect. He bailed with less than a week left, and that's as bad as Chavis working for A&M before his LSU employment was completely finished. When you consider how much Orgeron has vouched for him at three different stops, he owed Orgeron at least a little more than leaving 10 days before the first signing period.

Maybe LSU didn’t make an offer because they wanted AT to leave. If he left and they didn’t want him to leave, he should be able to eat crow and get his job back.

That’s not happening so, maybe it was LSUs choice for him to leave also.

it doesn't show that at all. it shows that AT thought he had a better offer but didn't. that's it.

i know you want sooooooooooo bad for this to be a black mark on LSU but it just isn't.

I find your obsession with conspiracy theories troubling in multiple ways. multiple. ways.

What an idiotic post.

So what you are insinuating in your first paragraph is that if LSU offered him to stay and he didn't, LSU looks bad, did a poor job, and nobody wants to be at LSU.

Then at the same exact time you are insinuating that if LSU DID NOT offer him to stay that LSU looks bad and did a poor job.

He's probably confused like any normal person would be that in either situation it could be presumed to make LSU look bad or to remotely be at fault. Only a serious hater like yourself can come up with stupid shite like this.
