Street Ball Doesn’t Shoot 80% from the FT line

This is clearly one of the fundamentals of the game and LSU has improved in this area. They are also getting to the line more.
They fouled out 3 opposing players today, but just didn’t have enough motion at the end of the game consistently enough to tire SFA.
It happens.
This team is better defensively when they are smaller ie Epps is in the game. They don’t have the bodies and length to handle good teams. As expected this season is about implementation of work ethics and expectations more than it is about making the Tourney.
If they make the NIt, I would be pleasantly surprised considering how good the SEC is this season.

We weren't playing street ball as anyone who knows basketball would tell you.

We played streetballesque today on too many possessions. And our motion offense doesn’t create the same opportunities as SFA’s offense does/did. Even taking into account we are a poor defensive team, their offense creates mismatches.

Look, I'm as old school, get off my lawn as anyone when it comes to most aspects of sport, but some of these "street ball" guys would call anything but the old weave and set shot offense with 4 white guys and a token black - street ball. And they might not allow the token.

I think some fans see street ball when it’s really just Waters dominating the ball and dribbling a lot but it is t street ball. SF Austin is a high ball pressure and trapping style team and with Mays in a lot of foul trouble at times today Waters was the only guy capable of handling the ball against their pressure making it look like streetball. We don’t have a consistent post player, Reath is so up and down and so bad at handling the ball and passing out of double teams we can’t run the offense through him in games like today. Epps isn’t a back to the basket player so what you see sometimes is Waters having to dominate the ball looking to make plays either dishing for shots or attacking himself. It’s not streetball we are just limited with the amount of on the ball playmakers we have.

We are in agreement here Mad. With Waters as a point running an old school Princeton offense would be silly or whatever type of offense is considered as being not street ball. Scoring has not been our problem this year.

Street ball beats sisters of the poor schools.

If you think SF Austin is sisters of the poor you don’t watch college basketball.
