I did the CrossFit thing for about 5 years. Even coached for a couple gyms. I am a level 1 certified coach so I guess you can say I’m kind of a big deal. It started as an easy way of transitioning out of the military and being part of a community, or several.
I got my first experience in the ‘real’ world of CrossFit when I started hanging out with a friend (one of last year’s games athletes) and her husband. At that point, I had done a few local competitions and done well. I had done well in the open and was pretty serious about it. Not gonna drop any names but she let me know that there’s a ton of PED use in CrossFit. I had always suspected it though. This just confirmed it.
I simply couldn’t continue going to a CF gym and listening to owners, games athletes, etc talk about what a family environment it is and talk about doing shite “the right way” while knowing there’s a ton of soccer moms out there busting their arse to drop a few pounds and they’re believing every lie coming out of Games athletes’ mouths. It’s all hypocritical bullshite. If you enjoy it, more power to you but you should consider just buying shite from Rogue and doing your own programming.

I have no doubt that lots of athletes use PEDs. I have zero desire to be a games/regionals athlete. I just really enjoy it and want to get stronger. I especially like the gymnastics aspect and that’s what I’m best at. I’m in no way saying I’m good just in comparison to lifting.

I just like the programming and workouts
I don’t give a shite about the athletes or whatever mission statements they put out
