The irony is calling Key selfish because of your OWN selfish desires. You as a fan want to see Key play because it gives your team a better chance to win. But in doing so he should jeopardize an opportunity to earn more money just next season than many fans would make in a lifetime? For what? Just so YOU can be happy LSU won a bowl game?

No one would bat an eye if a third year Engineering major (on full academic scholarship) left school early because he was offered a job paying several million dollars. Why is this situation any different?

So, frick it. Why play any of the players? They all should check out according to you. Or is there a certain year they can check out? When is it NOT OK according to you? Football players sign a commitment to play football for a team and in return get a free education....note the word commitment.

I don't know man. It's not how I was raised. Live up to your commitments. Better parents I assume. I'd never leave my teammates hanging.
