So is it confirmed that this kid is going to be a rush end? I was looking into him the other day and there’s just not a ton of info as to what he’s going to be at LSU.

Not confirmed as far as I know, but thats what most of is tapes show
But you also never know with this "experimental" coaching staff. We will have to wait and see.

The coaches worked him at buck linebacker at our summer that led up to his offer. And they were telling him either buck or defensive end.

What to expect from Dantrieze Scott
Scott arguably was the most dominant prospect during LSU’s lineman camp in Baton Rouge.
The 6-foot-6, 232-pound prospect worked out as a stand-up edge rusher in the same mold as Arden Key. Scott was effective rushing the passer from the edge and could do as a stand-up linebacker or as a true defensive end.
Both roles were mentioned by Orgeron during Scott’s recruitment.
“All they said was that I was going to be coming hard off that edge,” Scott laughed. “They said: ‘We’re going to have you on that edge,’ and I’m cool with that. Coach O told me to keep killing them.”
Scott is expected to spend time at the stand-up BUCK linebacker spot and as a prototypical defensive end. His role is subject to the front used by the LSU defense.
