In response to a POLITICO Freedom of Information Act request, the agency released a one-sentence memo Friday confirming that Mueller was granted a conflict-of-interest waiver in order to assume the politically-sensitive p
However, the document signed by Justice's top career official, Associate Deputy Attorney General Scott Schools, provides no detail at all of the grounds for the waiver. In fact, it's so vague that it doesn't even convey why anyone would think Mueller needed such a release.

So what's the issue? He worked at Wilmer Hale, they said that's fine.

This is such a farce. I want to puke every time I hear Mueller's name.

So Honest Bob got a waiver because he collided with the Russians during Uranium 1?

I mean, I'm sure they could come up with any number of reasons. Unfortunately, we're not entitled to every inter office communication at the Justice Department.

Every one under investigation in this case has a right to see the contents of the waiver.

Do you believe "reasons" are covered by the FOIA? Sounds like they got the document they wanted.
But let's just cut to the further point.. If that article had exclaimed "Breaking! DOJ failed to file ethics waiver for Mueller!", you'd have posted that as some gotcha, too. We're at the point where people are criticizing the things the SC has done right. It's ridiculous.
