If Davis plays with Cousins, all that happens is the Rockets put Anderson in and make Davis defend him at the 3-pt line, while Capela holds down the interior.
Where you're wrong is that Davis would have played Capella to stop the PnR. Cousins would have played Andersons slow arse.

Edit: Davis stops those easy worthless arse 28 points from Capella that he never gets.

Point still remains. Rockets have a lot of different lineups they throw out.

I have a hard time thinking the Pelicans could have played much better offensively with Davis. I just dont think it would have been that simple.

OKAY. Sure. Pels are still worst team in the league at defending pnr, whether its Cousins or Davis.

Like I said before, Davis or not, the Pelicans were in that game because they were 18/33 from 3 point range. Simple as that. Rockets did not perform abnormally besides Capela who was feasting on an obvious defensive deficiency the Pelicans have routinely displayed this season.

The reason Capela was getting easy buckets is because Cousins had to help on Harden at the rim. That’s why Harden “only” had 26 pts.

What would usually be a Harden layup was a Capela dunk.
