How's that grading scale affecting students these days. Luckily LSU adopted that crap the semester after I graduated. In the good ole days a 90-100 was a 4.0. frick that specific shite.

Uhhhh yeah, I had a D going into a final test in an ethics class. Made a D on the final... Somehow ended up with a 90 overall when grades were posted. Did not ask any questions. Did I actually fail the ultimate ethics test?

Any of you baws actually go confirm your grades in college?
Absolutely, I did it every time and caught several mistakes. Never had a problem getting them corrected.

I still have an "F" on my transcript for a class that was cancelled before it started but I didn't go "drop" the class from my roll (assuming why would i need to do that if the entire thing was cancelled). This was after my Freshman year and didn't notice it was still on my transcript until i was about to graduate.
I tried to explain it but none of them had any clue what I was talking about and they essentially said they didn't know what they could do. I was graduating so just wanted to get out of there and just said frick it after a while because I didn't know how to fix it.

Chemistry prof. Gave me a C. I was pretty sure i had a B Went to talk to him and his office was a disaster and he couldn’t find any of my tests to dispute the grade either way.

I've made that mistake on a key before but would never lower someone's grade after the fact. My policy is to always err on the side of the student.
We make mistakes, just like y'all. It's especially tricky when you have 150 students in a class and 8 of them are Smiths with the trendy first names de jure and you're trying to enter grades on a long computer screen full of drop downs.
Watch your grades all semester, not just at the end. Also, say something about final grades before the grade entry window closes. After that time we have to get the dean's office to sign off on a grade change, which complicates things. Before then, though, it's a simple flick of the mouse.

I wrote a paper for a business communications class that I put a lot of effort and time into. I thought it would be at least a B grade. When she handed back the graded papers I got a C. I went to her office and respectively asked her to read the paper again and reconsider the grade. At the end of the next class, she handed the paper back to me and said that after rereading it, she changed the grade to a D.

The 10 point scale was great.
I remember reading an article while at LSU that talked about Kansas or K St. changing to the 93 is an A scale.
The problem was they were retroactively applying it, so people who had a 92 went from an A to a B. Of course, according to the article a shitstorm justifiably ensued, and I wondered if the university came to it's senses on that.
