Actually, his O-Swing% was lower last year than it was in 2015.

Hopefully Chili Davis can help he and several other Cubs who all saw drops in productivity last year. Some of the batting averages were atrocious and outside of Contreras, most of the players regressed at the plate last year.
My guess is a lot of that had to do with the Cubs line up being very young and the league learning how to finally pitch to them. So this off season will be all of them learning where pitchers know how to beat them, and learning discipline. Much easier said then done though.
Eta: as far as if that's Schwarbers wife or GF, that's not good for him to get and stay lean. Say what you want, but you need a significant other to help you and not hinder you in staying in shape. A fat wife is much harder to stay disciplined then a wife that pushes you to stay healthy by eating and exercising herself.

I will never forgive Chili Davis for helping Xander ruin his swing.

Next step, strike zone discipline. Skinny ain't gonna keep him from swinging at bad pitches and hitting .205 or whatever it was.

I'm here. Skinny is going to keep him from hitting baseballs on top of the scoreboard though.

Maybe so but it sure seemed it was either homer or K for him last year. He's too good a hitter to be hitting .205 IMHO and I really think the future will prove that. Question is can the Cubs withstand the fielding issues long enough to see it come to fruition or do they bail and trade him to an AL team?
